And the battle has begun, bring it.

So, I had all intentions of going for an 8 mile run on Saturday but of course, my busy self found things to take up my time. So Sunday before church, I went out for a wonderful 8 mile run and it went really well. I ran it in 1:09.29, which isnt bad but also isnt great. I hit my high at arounfd the 4 miler, so everything after that was a breeze. I was happy to have my mind over body in good check.

I rested the day after, which killed me because I'm finally getting into that addiction of running, but I need to be careful because if I don't rest I'm going to blow my knees.

So 2 days after my 8 mile run, I went out for a 4 miler and it was really nice. I also did the same amount today for a run before work. But today was rough becasue my body over took my mind. I stopped too many times and wanted to walk. But i knew that if I wanted to go farther in my distances, I can't let 4 milers be a problem. So now my biggest issue is keeping up with running a lot and not having like 3 days of rest. I need to keep consistant, while I am sure I can do.

I need to go in and see a running specialist to see what kind of shoes are best for me and get any tips on my running stride. I think my stride is okay, but sometimes my shins will randomly hurt or my ankle...weird.

Once again, I cannot forget to thank my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ for the ability to run.

let the games begin..

Here have been my past workouts:
01/30 38:08 3.15 miles
02/01 35:52 4.00 miles
02/02 36:14 4.00 miles
02/04 35:57 4.39 miles
02/05 played ultimate :]
02/06 37:05 4.35 miles
02/07 30:00min on the eliptical

So I've actually been pretty consistant with working out, but as far as my times, well those have not been consistant. I find that if I drive to town and go for a run, my times are a bit faster, as compared to staying close to home and running out in the country. Maybe I enjoy the country runs more and want to take my time, I'm not sure.

And I need to go see a foot specialist soon to watch me run, to offer me advice on what shoes to get for my race and what I should train in. But I'm nervous that it will be an expensive appointment. :/

I am excited to finally register for the race, I have to do it soon in order to get the minimum price :) Yet, I am getting more and more nervous about it, because the fact of running 26.2 miles is just blowing my mind lately.
